Join Art Torres For Dinner
Published March 25, 2008 Assemblywoman Cathleen Galgiani , Campaign Front , Local Issues , Mike Machado , Rep. Dennis Cardoza , Rep. Jerry McNerney Leave a CommentWhat A Great Time To Be A Democrat In San Joaquin County!
Two great democratic presidential candidates and hundreds of local activist working on presidential, congressional, state senate/assembly, mayoral and local races. Indeed, it is a great time to be a democrat in San Joaquin County.
The members of the San Joaquin Democratic Central Committee are keeping themselves busy preparing our local party for what is going to be a historical election season. From an increased presence online to recruitment of candidates to run for local office, SJCDCC is stronger then ever and is readying the fight to protect our Democratic vision within our county. One of the ways that you can help our county party grow is by attending our upcoming dinner with California Democratic Party Chairman Art Torres.
In the past, San Joaquin County has been dismissed as a GOP haven—but those days are gone. San Joaquin County is officially BLUE!! Please help us maintain our party’s registration advantage by joining Chairman Torres at this very important event. Invited guests include US Representatives Jerry McNerney & Dennis Cardoza, Senator Mike Machado and Assembly members Lois Wolk and Cathleen Galgiani.
Wealthy republican donors are dishing out $25,000 and $10,000 contributions to the San Joaquin GOP Party in an effort to destroy our blue progress. Help us fight back by joining us on April 18th at the Stockton Grand Hotel. Help flex our grassroots muscle and show that the San Joaquin County Democratic Party is stronger then ever.
Your attendance at this event will help our local party reach out to our communities via issue forums and voter registration drives as well as aggressively recruit our next generation of leaders and help them run for local office. For too long our local school board and city councils have been dominated by special interest groups. With your help, the SJC DCC can help build a coalition of elected officials who represent all the people of this county—not just the wealthy elite.
Can you join us on April 18th? If so please call Martha at (209) 836-9030 or email info@sjcdems.org or click here to print your own invitation. It’s going to be a great night and shouldn’t be missed for the world.

In late January, a few senators and members of the House of Representatives will go behind closed doors to decide what stays in and what gets left out of the 2007 farm bill. Dennis Cardoza must be in that room.
Welcome to the San Joaquin County Democrat’s official weblog where you will find the latest news, commentary and up to date information on our organization’s efforts.
